Paragraphing

Paragraphing is the proper way to construct a paragraph. There are several things to remember when constructing a proper paragraph. The first thing is to make sure that your topic sentence and concluding sentences match. This doesn't mean that they should say the exact same thing, but they should address the same subject. When you follow this rule you'll be able to stay on track within each paragraph. Each paragraph should be about a specific thing and should not stray too far from that point.

The second thing that is important in paragraphing is Old-to-New information. This has to do with your transitions between sentences. Each sentence should begin with old information. This means that your reader has already been told this information. The sentence should then introduce new information to your reader. By following this rule you will ensure that your audience will follow your argument and not get lost.
